Lazy Sunday

Hi

Yesterday was beautiful here and I managed a little work in the garden and even washed my car.  Washing was dried outside, for which I was grateful as my tumble dryer is broken and I can't get a very expensive engineer out until 2nd February!  (No one local wanted to mend it.)

Today has been quite dull, weather wise, and I have been lucky enough to enjoy another lazy Sunday.

I hope everyone has been able to enjoy their weekend too.

I have been taking the opportunity to join some squares - made over the last few months, and it is now almost a new blanket.

Smudge has been checking it out.

    1. Indeed - she can be fast asleep and as soon as I sit down and get some yarn out, she appears and has to be involved! :) But I guess I wouldn't want it any other way.

    1. Hi Angie - the square pattern is called Willow and is in the book 200 Crochet Blocks by Jan Eaton. The yarn I used is King Cole Bamboo Cotton DK on a 3.5mm hook. The colours I used were Pink, Dusty Pink, Mauve, Violet and Damson - I think! I'm not good at keeping the ball bands to check. :) Have fun.

    1. Thank you - I started the squares as I needed a portable project, and am really pleased with how it's all come together, as there wasn't much planning initially!

  7. Hi Sara, It would probably be cheaper to buy a new one unless under warrantee. The colours you have chosen for your blanket are gorgeous. Just in the process of joining 60+ squares together for my latest project. I love making them but I get a little bored with joining together then I ok again once I get to putting on the border.

  8. I can never understand why engineers are so picky about what they will or will not repair, especially these days when jobs are hard to find, and there's lots of competition out there. Hopefully you'll get yours fixed and all will be well. Your crochet looks gorgeous. Thankyou for your lovely comment on my five on Fruday post. P x

  10. Trust a cat to see being a 'quality controler' a way of life:) Hope the washing is dry as the rest of the week's weather is looking potentially really rubbish :(

  11. The colors are very pretty. I think you had the right idea, it sounds like the perfect way to spend the wintry day. It looks like Smudge approved heartily. :)
