This week....

Most unusually for me, by yesterday I hadn't taken a single photo during the week.  I was going to say it was absolutely pants as far as weeks go, but on reflection, whilst there were some pretty grotty bits there was plenty of good bits, and lots of laughter too.

Monday I went to Pilates, Tuesday my mum-in-law visited and brought me some rather yummy butterscotch biscuits, Wednesday was Rock Choir, and Thursday lunch with a good friend.  Friday my sister came to stay for the weekend - I took her to a Rock Choir rehearsal Friday evening, and to a crochet group on Saturday morning.  Matt updated the RAM in my laptop and it's like a new computer now.  A little scary at the time though!  My dad took us out for supper on Saturday evening.  The food was delicious.

This morning, after my sister had left, Matt had rugby training.  Jolly cold watching him, but the sun was out and it felt as if Spring weren't too far away.  And then Matt went Go-Karting.  I watched a little (it was a bit cold, loud and smelly for me!) but then came home and am enjoying a glass of wine before Matt gets home.

Yes - there was some really stressful horrid bits this week, and it's easy to let them take over, but actually there were more good bits.

Wishing you a great week.

I had no idea what my computer looked like inside!

Pretty daffodils from my friend to cheer me up - it worked!  :)

Sunshine in a jug.

Good food and good company.

The Go Karting photos weren't good!  They move jolly fast!

  1. That's why I like blogging, it reminds you that good things do happen and when you look back and reread your post , you will remember the flowers, the good friends and the rubbish seems less horrible xx

  2. Good on you Sara for thinking of the good bits and putting the other bits to one side! That is a great idea and worth celebrating. Glad that you had a good weekend and some fun times. The karting looks very fast indeed and I would say a little scary, but the sight of the inside of your computer is far more frightening!! How on earth does anyone know where all the bits go! Eeekkk!!! You know that I hope you have a good week to come. Hugs. xx

  3. I'm glad you were able to parse out the good things that happened this week. I think that's the best thing about blogging and I know it's why I love to read blogs so much, you get to see the highlights and happy moments in ordinary lives.

    1. It really was quite therapeutic to notice and remember the good bits. It's easy to let the rotten parts seem bigger than they are.

  5. I'm sorry there were some horrid bits, but the good bits sound lovely. Butterscotch biscuits and rock choir, wow! And a boy who can magically transform your computer. I dream of this moment! But I agree, it's scary to see the insides of these things. I do hope that this week has just as much good stuff and none of the horrid stuff. Sending you a cyber hug. CJ xx

  7. I'm sorry you had such stress during your week, but it does sound like you managed to salvage something from it. Lots of time with family is good, and you did such nice things. I've started going to Pilates too. I like it, but my tummy muscles usually hurt for about four days afterwards! My core is non-existent it would appear. xx
