The end of school holidays.

Just one more day before my son returns to school and routine takes over our lives again. Matt has been away at a rugby camp. We picked him up this evening. Tired but having had a great time. The washing machine has been busy ever since!  I expect the tumble dryer will be busy tomorrow having just seen the weather forecast.

As its been quiet and tidy here over the last few days, I've taken the opportunity to try and finish my hexagon blanket and I've made a few cards. I've not taken photos of them yet but will do tomorrow. I think I've worked out how to update things via my phone which will be much easier. Now I'd better get back to stitching those hexagons together. One more row and then to work out how to edge the blanket?

Still trying to sort out blogging and my phone. So have added this photo I took last week at the beach.

More cricket & cards

The final U15 Northern Knights cricket match of the season today for my son.  Although they lost again, we were proud of his performance as wicket keeper and opening batsman.
I managed to spend a couple of hours crafting and crocheting yesterday. I'm still working on my ripple blanket (ready to keep me warm next cricket season), and put together a couple of cards.  I haven't managed to take photos of them all, but have three to share.

Back to work tomorrow, I can't believe the summer is passing by so quickly.  Matt goes to a rugby camp on Wednesday for 3 days.  It will be odd not having him around.

Hello
Well, although I was sorry that my son's cricket team didn't make it to the final today, after a fantastic cricket festival week, as they say every cloud has a silver lining, and it has meant I have been able to watch the tennis finals and make some cards.  :)

I was particularly pleased with the Gorjuss girl and my colouring - if I say so myself!

Saturday, 28 July 2012

Well, I had the afternoon to myself (son playing cricket and husband watching him).  I had done all the gardening and washing and ironing yesterday, so thought I would catch up on some "me" time and update my blog with my holiday crafting.  However, I thought I'd update my computer first - and there it all seems to have ground to a halt!
Garden photo attached - but I am still working on the other bits.  Technology and me aren't always a good combination, but at least the garden looks good!

My hexagons!

Hi again
I really must make more of an effort to add to my blog now I have the new computer.  Instead of just card making, I have been spending some time crocheting.  I had forgotten what fun it is.  Here is a picture of my hexagon blanket.  Adapted and inspired by Lucy from Attic 24  Thank you!
I am still putting it together, which seems to be taking as long as making the hexagons!  It will be worth it in the end though.  I just wish I'd bought some better quality yarn, but didn't realise when I started how lovely it would be.
We are going on holiday soon, and I'm taking some new cotton yarns with me.  :)  Looking forward to making a ripple blanket.  I will then have something colourful and warm to wrap round me when watching my son play cricket next season.  Surely the sun will have remembered that it is supposed to shine in the Summer next year.

Thanks for looking.

Hello again

Hi
I'm back with a new computer!  The old one died - well and truly - so it has taken a while to sort things out for the new one.
So, here's a new card I made, and I would like to enter it in the Ribbon Girl challenge.

Thanks for looking, and I hope everyone is enjoying the Bank Holiday.  At least with such dreary weather, I don't feel guilty spending time crafting :)

I hope to be back again soon, and will try to get to grips with sharing the cards I make more regularly.
