Sunrise

Life doesn't always go to plan does it?  Sometimes "stuff" gets in the way, and makes you feel tired - or at least that is how I'm feeling at the moment.  Not overwhelmed or anything awful, just a bit tired.

But there are somethings which always make me feel better - and this is one of them.  What a glorious start to the day.

I only had my phone with me, but I think you can see how lovely it was.

Onwards and upwards as they say.  All Christmas presents purchased, Christmas cards made, but I seem to keep putting off the wrapping and writing.  I really must get down to it in the next few days!

  1. You are certainly far more organised than I am :) Nice one, as for the wrapping and writing, put on really comfy clothing, make yourself your favourite tipple (tea/coffee/Gin & tonic!) get all your goodies ready, scissors, paper, tape and pressies, sit on the floor, and listen to your favourite music, watch an old movie - and enjoy! Well that is my plan each year and I don't quite make it all happen but on the whole I do :)

  2. Don't feel bad fro what you have or haven't done yet. I only sent cards today, haven't wrapped a thing and am in decorating chaos, nothing is finished, and I have stuff everywhere. I am sure that you are more organised than that! The pictures from your walk are so lovely, what a beautiful morning it must have been. xx

    1. It was beautiful again this morning. I keep flitting from one thing to another, and never quite get anything completed! This weekend - I will tackle and finish some of those outstanding jobs!

  5. That really does look perfect. I think I would have lingered far too long.

I am becoming very bah humbug about Christmas ... it has become just this ridiculous chore fuelled by other folks expectations and the obligation to reciprocate. I might just spend Christmas day up in the hills with a turkey sandwich in my back pack. I certainly would if I could guarantee a dawn like the one you've photographed :)

  6. I know exactly how you feel, Christmas is wonderful if we could all spent it the way we would like .If I could Id book a holiday and come back when its all over .I don't want to sound like scrooge but everyone expects you to love all the fuss and the expense and its only one day.
I will however do as I always do smile, cook like a demon, look after everyone and fall into a heap at the end of the day. What a beautiful dawn

  7. That is a breathtaking sunrise. I can't get enough of the sunrises we've been having over the last few weeks. This time of year can be really draining, I think. I sway between utter exhaustion and nervous energy most of the time. x

  8. Hi Sara
These pictures are gorgeous. Frosty grass and tree branches, burning skies, puffy clouds... This is what gets you smiling in the morning. Thanks for popping by before. Have a lovely week.
